Airbus-Little Engineer space workshop gives students the opportunity to simulate a space mission and send an unmanned mission to Mars. Students are tasked to build, assemble space vehicles and a rocket, program it, ready for launch and explore Mars. The mission includes launching a rocket, setting up a base, establishing communication and exploring Mars.
This workshop enables students to get a better understanding of space missions, the technologies and logistics needed how these operate and what it takes to explore space. Students are encouraged to use science, technology, engineering and mathematics in a fun way, with hands-on activities.
An upgraded workshop was conducted as a pilot in Lebanon on January 21st, 2017 at the Holyday in Dunes, and introduced 30 teenage learners to the space industry. This workshop will be replicated at the global space congress 2017 that will be held in Abu Dhabi.
