Airbus Little Engineer Workshop during Dubai Women Forum
Global Women's Forum Dubai was the first international Women's Forum meeting in the MENA region. The event gathered leaders from the public and private sector – women as well as men –encouraged and enabled women's contribution to business and society in the region and beyond. Building on the theme Let's Innovate! Global Women's Forum Dubai was an unprecedented platform for developing workable strategies and lasting networks in order to inspire women across all generations and geographies.
Diversity means respect and appreciation of differences in ethnicity, gender, age, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, education, and religion.
Both Airbus and The Little Engineer are using diversity as the key driver of their success. Diversity is the only way to foster innovation, performance and engagement.
Our mutual participation and correlation with Airbus and GCAA- UAE General Civil Aviation Authority during the “Airbus Little Engineer A380 assembly Workshop and Airbus Little Engineer Space workshop” showed clearly all parties interest in fostering diversity. Both workshops were targeting young Emirati teen girls. Unique hands-on activities including the assembly of the world’s largest passenger plane to simulating the launching of a rocket inspired 30 girls to choose engineering as a future career path.
Through this exceptional event girls were widely encouraged to join both aviation and aerospace sectors. We believe that despite major advancements in gender diversity and career progression opportunities, women are still vastly under-represented in those sectors.
