Airbus Little Engineer Workshop during Future Aviators Camp
For the fifth time in a row, The United Emirates General Civil Aviation Authority, Airbus Middle East and The Little Engineer joined forces to conduct the famous Airbus-Little Engineer “A380
Assembly” workshop at Al Forsan International Sports City in Abu Dhabi. The General Civil Aviation authority founded in 1996 by the UAE Federal Cabinet Decree (Law 4), in order to regulate civil aviation and provide designed aviation services with observance to the safety and security to strengthen the aviation industry within the UAE and its upper space and Airbus, have been implementing an educational CSR program through The Little Engineer workshops stressing on aviation and space while implementing STEM. National youngsters and teens benefited from a unique active orientation session, four hours of construction, programming and fulfilling both the A30 Assembly mission and parking the aircraft once assembled. More than 75 learners enjoyed a discussion panel with a captain and an aviation engineer from Al Itihad airways as well as a visit to STRATA a composite aero-structure manufacturing facility based in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. Established in 2009, with production beginning in 2010, Strata have partnerships with the world’s leading aircraft manufacturers such as Airbus.
